TRESHA JOHNSON

Writer - Producer

Brian frequently collaborates creatively with his wife, writer and producer Tresha Johnson, through their company 1130 Media. Together, they produced the feature film Population Purge (2023), an action-thriller now streaming free on Tubi, Roku, and Sling TV — also available on Prime Video and Apple TV. Brian served as director, writer, cinematographer, producer, and executive producer on the film, with Tresha as executive producer.

They are currently developing their next feature, This Side of Broken, a North Carolina–based drama Tresha wrote and is producing.

In addition to their joint work, Brian welcomes opportunities to collaborate with writers, producers, and directors across a wide range of projects — from intimate dramas to genre films — and is passionate about helping authentic stories find their visual voice. Recent collaborations include serving as camera operator on filmmaker D’Aja Fulmore’s and executive producer Shondrella Avery’s projects — the Tubi streaming crime drama Crossover: The Revenge and the Lifetime feature Knight; as camera operator on director Derrick Speight’s upcoming feature 1912 Ravenhardt; and as cinematographer on director Mark David Kennerly’s faith-based feature If My People (2022).
